I have always been fascinated by the strength and resiliency that individuals posses, and are usually not aware of. Because of my interest in how we process and deal with the many experiences we encounter in our lives I began studying psychology at the University of Washington where I received my BA in Psychology. After graduating I worked for four years at the National Eating Disorders Association working on the awareness and prevention of eating disorders. I then attended Seattle University where I received a MA in Psychology. I also have taught classes on body image and self awareness, done chemical dependency counseling and done counseling at local community colleges.

I am licensed in the state of Washington as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I also belong to several state and national psychological associations.
